What You Make It is all about showing that no matter what your situation, your budget, or where you live, you can have a beautiful, vibrant, full life. Let’s talk faith, marriage, motherhood, friendships, and productivity. (And everything else in between.)

Looking for perfect pictures, stunning style, exotic adventures, perfect parenting, and effortless-yet-elegant dinner parties?
This is not the blog you are looking for.
My budget is more Target than Nordstrom. I don’t fly out on jet planes every weekend, and I have no plans to move to a foreign country. My house is 80 years old, and definitely does not have walk-in closets or a perfect kitchen. Clutter accumulates on the surfaces of my home, and walls don’t stay white very long.
But life is what you make it.
I believe just because your life isn’t as glamorous as someone else’s social media feed, it is no less beautiful, valuable, and vibrant. And I’m out to empower and encourage you to live that full life, right where you are.
You don’t have to go looking for it – you can make it with what you have. Have sweet adventures near or far, savor the spaces and places, snuggle the ones you’re with, try something new, apologize, start again, and do it all in your own imperfect, amazing way.
So, if you love all things pretty, need some everyday inspiration and a lot of grace, want to connect with those around you, enjoy bonding over the ups and downs of marriage and motherhood, and want to stay productive and passionate, then this is the place for you, friend. Grab a mug of something delicious, and dive in.
