What You Make It is all about showing that no matter what your situation, your budget, or where you live, you can have a beautiful, inspiring, adventurous, full life. Make it creative, exciting, beautiful, faithful, connected, and absolutely you.
Hi! I’m Jenn. I’m so glad you’re here. Grab a cup of coffee, and let’s chat.
Why do you blog? When I was in fifth grade, we had to keep a daily journal, just for free-writing. I made a little newsletter for my teacher everyday. You could say it was the start of my blog life.
Where are you from? Massachusetts, originally; Virginia, currently.
The most important thing: I believe in a loving, compassionate, involved Creator. I was raised knowing God, but I truly believe he has pursued me all my life. If you want to know more, check out my beliefs page.
The most important people: My hubby (we’ve been married since July 2010), and my son (born September 2014).
What do you do? A year and a half ago, I quit my job to pursue a career in event planning. Recently, I gave up that job to become a stay-at-home mom, and now blogging is a part-time job as well.
After a couple different blog attempts, What You Make It was made at a time when I was just discontent with life. I was comparing myself to social media images and even friends, and felt like I fell short every time. My attitude got old, even to me, and I decided to instead make the most of my circumstances.
If you love all things pretty, need some everyday inspiration and a lot of grace, want to connect with those around you, are intrigued about blogging, enjoy bonding over the ups and downs of marriage and motherhood, and seek to achieve style on a Target budget, then this is the place for you.
