Hooray for Mother’s Day! Truly every day I can celebrate, with two little boys who call me “Mama”. Not to mention two amazing moms in my life: my own and my mother-in-law, plus grandmothers-in-law, and memories of my own grandmothers.
I’ll always remember the Mother’s Days I spent waiting for a baby, and the longing I felt. (Mama, if you’re there, I understand and relate.) So now I am that much more grateful for that holiday, even without the goodies.
But just in case you’re not sure just what to get your mama, here are some ideas. These all would make great gifts for Mother’s Day:
Gifts that give back:
Every Mother Counts is one of my favorite non-profit organizations. It provides education, support, supplies, and staff to help moms deliver safely. This year, with their Orange Rose initiative, they are partnering with brands to donate proceeds from certain products to their causes. Two of my favorites are these popular women’s shoes, and this beautiful rose necklace.
The Giving Keys are not only inspiring in themselves, but they also provide jobs for those transitioning out of homelessness.
You guys know how much I love Natalie Borton jewelry, which is all minimal, beautiful, and limited edition. Portions of her proceeds go to the National Eating Disorders Association, too. Use this code to get 10% off! I’m particularly loving the Grace Necklace.
Gifts that keep Mom going:
It is possible that I love this bag from Madewell just a little too much. Can you blame me?
Gifts that help Mama feel pretty:
One of my current favorites: the Mama All Day Every Day tee from Declan + Crew. With rose gold ink. Because rose gold everything. I have this one, but in a denim blue.
Another love is this Really Good Mom tee from Sweetees. So if I buy it for myself, does that cancel it out?
Gifts that help Mama relax:
Some summer reading. If you want her to laugh, try Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham. Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst is an encouraging and uplifting book that I just think maybe everyone can relate to. And who doesn’t love Chip and Joanna Gaines?
I hear baths are relaxing, but our tub is a little too small for a good soak. If you have a decent size tub, you may want to try Barr-Co Bubble Elixir (natural, eco-friendly, made in the USA).
I’m may be just a little bit obsessing over these natural, food-grade Illume candles, which happen to come in the most gorgeous hammered metal packaging.
So your turn: what are you getting your mom for Mother’s Day?
