Whew, there is still a whirlwind going on at this house! We are doing our best to adjust to life with two. Is it easier or harder than adjusting to life with one, or three, or more? I can’t say. All I know is that, in this moment, while it’s a challenge, it also consistently melts my heart.
On another note, something that’s always fun? Receiving happy mail. PopSugar has been sending me a few of their monthly Must Have subscription boxes to try this year, and I received one for December. As always, it’s a welcome treat. This lifestyle box always contains at least one fashion, beauty, home, and food item.
This month does not disappoint. The themes for this box are the words, “festive, snowy, white, minimalist, giving, celebrations” – all special parts of this time of year. It turns out that some of the items I was able to gift to others, and some were gifts for me.
Odeme Catchall + Ring Dish (value $67)
This porcelain set is a gorgeous combo, and just perfect for setting on a dresser or vanity to “catch” jewelry, makeup, and other items. They are classy and minimalist, and came individually wrapped in pink boxes. I ended up gifting the tray, and keeping the cute ring dish, which I think I’ll get more use out of.
Sisters’ Gourmet Baker’s Dozen Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix (value $6.99)
Such cute packaging (a mason jar) full of cookie mix! It’s perfectly gift-able. I wanted to keep it and try it for myself, but I ended up bringing it to a White Elephant.
Mane Message Date Night Bobby Pins (value $10)
These sparkly pins are just right for a pretty holiday hairstyle. They are in lovely neutrals – blush pink, navy, and gold – with a little sparkle. Even though I’m not great at hairstyles, since they’re my colors, I just had to keep these.
BaubleBar Snowfall Pendant (value $28)
If PopSugar includes a jewelry piece, I usually end up loving it. That’s exactly what happened this time around. This is a lovely, mixable, matchable pendant that is exclusive to this box. It’s called the “snowfall pendant”, but please – I’m wearing this year-round.
Winky Lux Lip Pill in Bunny (value $14)
I’ve never heard of Winky Lux, but their packaging is just too darn cute. It literally looks like a capsule. “Bunny” is a bright berry color that is a little too bright for what I typically wear, but I’m thinking about blending it to tone it down a bit for everyday wear. It also would be great for a holiday party.
Dessange Professional Hair Luxury Color Restore Color Protecting Top Coat Serum (value $11.99)
This serum boasts an ability to make your hair smooth and shiny, particularly for color-treated hair. This is another item I gifted on, even though I’m sure it would have been fine on my untreated hair.
All in all, this is a beautiful package with a solid holiday theme. My favorite items are the necklace and the ring dish, but everything is useful and practical (even if not for me).
What item here would be your favorite? What might you gift instead?
Thank you to PopSugar for providing this box for review. All opinions are my own.
